Inside the Civil War Chapel

Ghost hunters from S.I.G.H.T. of Ohio are planning an evening full of history and adventure. The night kicks off at 7:00 pm. We will meet at the parking lot right up the road from the cemetery with  S.I.G.H.T. and local Psychic-Medium Laura Lyn.

You will have the opportunity to explore Glendale’s 150 acres that has over 30,000 burials from Akron’s past. Each participant will receive a self guided tour packet with notable stops throughout the cemetery. S.I.G.H.T. members will also be available to guide you to many interesting stops and to demonstrate various ghost hunting tools. We will also be conducting EVP sessions in small groups at various stops on the tour.

Many EVP’s and pictures with anomalies have been caught during past Glendale explorations! A Civil War soldier walks the hills and many spirited children run and plays within the cemetery  boundaries.

We will wrap up the evening at about 9:00 with a spirit circle guided by Laura Lyn. You will be able to explore the grounds untill about 10 if you choose.

The four buildings adjacent to the cemetery’s main entrance are listed on the National Register of Historical Places.  The Superintendent’s House was completed in 1869, The Memorial Chapel in 1875, the Bell Tower in 1883 and the Cemetery Office in 1902.  The grounds of the cemetery have been recently listed on the National Register, as a historic landscape.

Great class for the beginner or experienced ghost seeker!  Learn techniques of tracking through intuition and awareness,

old time methods and new technology.  Through the use of various methods your chance of documentation through audio and or photography is greatly improved.

This class is designed to help you achieve great results communicating with and documenting ghostly activity. Ghost hunting documentation materials will be provided.

You will practice with the tools in a space that has previously recorded spirit activities.
S.I.G.H.T. will also teach you how to work with your audio recordings and photos.

Please bring your recorders, flashlight, cameras and any other paranormal tracking equipment that you have.  If you don’t have any equipment that is fine, we will have plenty for you to choose from throughout the evening.

Begins at The Pufferbelly continues at the Kent Stage!

Join us for a night of history, haunts and of course ghost hunting! We will begin the evening with refreshments at the Pufferbelly Restaurant in historic downtown Kent. You will have your choice of a delicious dessert and coffee or tea. This historical building was built in 1875, serving as the main train depot in the area and hub for local industry.

After dessert, we will then explore the upper level of the Pufferbelly, which will include a presentation about the history and haunts in the area. We will work together to conduct experiments to see if we can get communication with any of the spirits who linger in the area. We will also have a rare opportunity to search the basement of the Pufferbelly, where there are plenty of creepy tunnels.

This event starts at 9pm at The Pufferbelly and ends at 3am at The Kent Stage

At Midnight, S.I.G.H.T. will take everyone to The Haunted Kent Stage Theater. S.I.G.H.T. will give a brief tour of the building, and then you have the opportunity to split off into small groups to investigate the whole theater, including the basement corridors.

This event is limited to 20 people to allow for a quality ghost hunting experience. Please reserve your space as soon as possible, this is assured to sell out fast. This is a unique opportunity to investigate a well documented, haunted location in Kent.
